Here is a layout I did of my hubby and his best friend Jay from Utah!!! we miss you very much Jay and I am going to send this layout to you!
Okay ladies you have till Sunday night to get those layouts done and linked for the TWIDDLEYBITZ prizes... I am working on an acrylic album I recieved today, putting it together with my Jenni Bowlin kit but it is for a special project so I won't be able to post it until a later date.. I just love working with acrylic!!! I have been waiting for a friend to send me a box of stuff I have in Los Angeles for about 4 months now, in it is the Fiskars threading water punch.. well I got impatient and just went out and brought one today so I guess when my box finally arrives I will have two... so watch this space for a RAK!!! Mister 3 has yet ANOTHER cold, it has been a wicked winter, this is about the sixth time he has some kind of cold/flu since winter started in June. I have also had it about 3 times and ended up with Pluerisy so I am really scared to catch it again, I am normally pretty immune to colds and such but not this year!
I am patiently waiting to receive my first kit from http://www.cropstop.com which should be here some time this week!!! Unfortunately you wont' get to see anything I make with it until October so stay tuned!!!
Lastly, I had Sarah (Moore) over last night and we did a couple of her layouts which I am going to teach the ladies at my scrap morning which is going to be tomorrow afternoon LOL.. I have posted them below...
Ohhhhhhh I have been sent a package of "goodies" from cropstop, can't wait to get them!!! I am still waiting for my gallbladder surgery to be rescheduled after my bout with Pluerisy last week. It will probably be closer to the end of September.. Speaking of the end of September, on September 27 Lorrain.e Bate is hosting our first every CROP ROYALE... I am very excited to be attending this and getting to do classes with some of our "best scrappers" including Ngaire Bartlam! For more info check out the website www.croproyale.com.au . I hope to see you there!
Twiddleybitz www.twiddleybitz.com are working on some great new pieces and I can't wait to get some to play with and show you!!!
Here is a layout I did last night of Ryan with a kit I had in my stash... nearly everything is Scenic Route.
I can't believe it is my birthday again, they just keep coming every year, making me another year older, another year wiser (well maybe!) I have had a few busy crazy days. As my previous post I was lucky to meet and spend time with the lovely Kaiser girls Mel and Al, as well as meeting some of the girls from Scrapbook Shelf yesterday. I was honoured to work at the Kaisercraft stand yesterday at the Sydney Stitches and Craft show, it was a great day, very busy and we did lots of make and takes and I met some lovely people. I also got to meet the ladies Annette, Jo and Kartia (spelling? sorry) from Memories2Remember, another lovely bunch of people! Great to meet you ladies! I have to say I have had the best few days since I arrived in Sydney last November! So it's my birthday and I am going to have a nice relaxing day, hubby is making pancakes right now for brunch and I am going to think about what I am grateful for at this stage of my life... and I might even SCRAP it! ... I have been working on a couple of projects and I will post some photos later today hopefully! Thanks for reading!
I have to tell you that I had an absolute blast of a day yesterday....it started with me going to the Sydney craft show to meet those lovely ladies from Kaiser - Melissa (you crack me up) Kennedy, Al ( by invitation only) Hannah and Jane (she is SO shy) Jones... I go , I meet, we get on great.. I stay LOL... I ended up staying and helping them out with their make and take tags...and if you are in Sydney GO SEE THEM, those girls are hysterical, I have not laughed so much in a long time!!!! I also got to meet the gorgeous Lusi Austin, what an adorable lady she is and she is also a hoot!!! (lots of pics but they will be posted at a later date!)... then after the show we go off to the Creatively Living launch... lots of free beer, wine and champers and lots of people drinking it!! We met up there with Lorraine Bate and after the Launch, Lorraine, Melissa, Al and myself went to this fantastic little restaruant (Insignia - the food was FANTASTIC and so was the service!) in Paramatta...we had the whole top room to ourselves and I can tell you that I have not laughed so much.. we were in tears laughing, Mel nearly had an asthma attack.. it was just a great great night... We saw a hairdresser shop called "Have it off" and sprung the owner standing in the front of the store "adjusting" himself... Lorraine was pointing at him saying "we can see you" and then he looked up and saw us all looking at him.. we almost fell off our chairs laughing at his embarrasment! All in all I had the best day and night that I have had in a long time!! Thanks girls I can't wait to see you all again tonight!! Oh did I say we are having a 3 day party LOL.. Lorraine you are a total hoot, I hope you feel better after your salt overdose and I cannot wait for Crop Royale!!! Mel you just crack me up, I have to remember the Poise next time, Al you are a just a sweetheart! and Jane you are just gorgeous and I can't wait to scrap with you!!! I am so glad I got to meet you all !!!

Laura I am really proud of all you have acheived.. love mum xxx
I am so happy to be working with Vicki as DTC as well as Mel and Annie and the rest of the team. The store is owned by Haylie Wiltshire and she has AWESOME stuff and the best part is that she has AWESOME shipping rates to Australia and other countries outside of the US!!! You will find ALL of your supplies for cuttlebugs, quicKutz, boss kut, sizzix and spellbinders (I LOVE the nestabilities!!!) at her store as well as a bunch of other fantastic scrapping supplies.
I cannot wait to get my first kit to work with!!! I am really excited (can you tell LOL)...
Thanks again for selecting me for the team Haylie and Vicki!!!
Watch this space... I am going to do a competition and the prize is some gorgeous pieces from TWIDDLEYBITZ.. International people are 100% welcome to join in!
OKAY....here is the challenge....I have used a "page maps" sketch here that I would like you to use to create a monochomatic round layout. Please do a new layout, post it on your blog or online gallery and post the link here in the comments section.
This is how the judging will work.. I will print out every submission and give it a number, I will then take it to one of my workshops and let the ladies there vote on the best two layouts.
Here is the sketch:
And now for the prizes!!!
First prize will be a choice of either the Twiddleybitz "Princess Carriage" or the Twiddleybitz "Boy Truck Book" as seen below!!
Second prize will be a bag of Twiddleybitz "Bitz" that I will put together myself.
The deadline for this challenge will be midnight (Australian time!) Sunday August 31, 2008.
